Before buying a dog
Buying a dog is a decision that requires careful reflection.
A dog is not a toy. It is a living being that will be part of your life for 10 to 15 years. Ask yourself first if you will have the time and the means to deal with it. Unlike cats, dogs do not like to be alone. Do not count on your children to take care of them, even if they are ready to make you all the promises of the world ... If they like to play with dogs, children quickly feel the constraints associated with them (meals and daily walks) as real chores. Consider your budget for food and maintenance costs. A big dog eats more than a small one. Some need regular grooming. A dog may get sick and you may have to deal with non-negligible costs. Some dogs lose a lot of hair, others with long hair need to be brushed regularly and get dirty faster. |
Making the right choice is crucial. Choose a dog that fits your expectations and your lifestyle:
